1971 Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Kinki University Kyushu Campus
1977 Established Aoki Architectural Design Office
1990 Founded Shigeru Aoki Architectural Workshop, Inc.
2007 Earned Doctorate in Engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo
2011– Appointed Visiting Professor at Dalian University of Technology
2013–2018 Appointed Specially Appointed Professor at Tokyo Metropolitan University
2017– Appointed Visiting Professor at Nippon Bunri University
2019– Appointed Specially Appointed Professor at Mokwon University, South Korea
2022– Appointed Visiting Professor at Maebashi Institute of Technology
